  I started enjoying holidays soon after I was DFd 20 years ago. Loved them then, love them now. Halloween is my favorite. I make a costume every year.

  Is it appropriate to describe eating Lobster Bisque as eating?

  the cafeteria had lobster bisque and wedding soup today, and i figured i'd try something new considering i love seafood.

  it was tasty, don't get me wrong, but there was nothing in it.

  what's the point of eating something if it's similar to drinking tea?

  I've had some really good lobster bisque, some with lobster in it. Adding a bit of fennel makes it good, as well.

  i just moved up to oregon and am wondering if any of you fine lovelies are located up in this neck of the woods.. i have had a great time connecting with ex-jws in other places where i've lived so i'd like to throw a little line out to see who may be up for some hoots and hijinks (or just a cup of tea) in central oregon.. thanks!.

  Used to live in the Portland area. Moved up to Seattle a couple years ago. My fly rod and I can still be found, from time to time, on the Deschutes River, not far from Bend.

  If you like good beer & wine, hit up the McMenamins Old St Francis downtown. Cool spot. I used to work for McMenamins, and helped open that location.

  Stop fighting about Oompa.

  i am writing this because i am so upset about the bickering and fighting that is going on about oompa.

  this was an amazing wonderful, peaceful, giving man who never met a strager who is now deceased and you are taking his name and running all over the place with it using it for your own agendas.

  he is not a statistic.

  I know of several, sadly.

  One of the most horrible was an elder who blew his head off with a hunting rifle in the hallway of his home, in front of his family.

  My own aunt (dad's sister) was an ex-Gilead missionary who drove herself into the mountains near Salt Lake City, UT, doused herself in gasoline, and set herself on fire.

  SAD news about OOMPA......

  our friend, oompa, has passed away.

  just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

  it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.
